Art is her soul
*

Natalia Ramos is a young girl, which is very creative and has many dreams or goals in life as all people do have.  This 20 years old ladylove to read, draw and dance flamenco. All her life has been this artistic.
Natalia has took many illustration courses. The last one was in Paris, where she took a nudist class, in which she learned to know more about human body and had gotten the skills to draw it.
She say she has always dreamed to be an illustrator, but when she thinks about the economy she doesn’t believe, drawing will bring her the sufficient money to cover all her necessities, and less in a place like Mexico. She thinks Mexico is delayed to differentiate between what is aesthetic and what is not; she says, “The socioeconomic levels influence the appreciation of art”.
But she is not given up on her dream. She would  like to marge illustration with film. That’s one of her reasons why is she studying communication and digital media. Other reason why has she selected this carrier is because she likes to tell stories and also analyze them.  She finds interesting how films transmit to people and the impact the films message have on the audience.
Natalia’s goal is to create content that intrigue people and make them realize many thing they probably don’t see, she would like that people make a reflection about life based on the message she will transmit through the movies.
In the future She sees her working in a producer company making child’s illustrations. Natalia says she would like to do her work thinking in others not on herself and also remove all the commercial structures. She would like to do short films, documental and artistic movies all included with a social message and transmitting catharsis.
She believes all people should try arts and she thinks “any way of artistic expression is valid and makes us freer”.

book review "Principios de Placer"

Book Review.

In 1997 The Mexican Jose Emilio Pacheco wrote the book “El principio del placer” (the principles of pleasure) . This writer was named one of the major Mexican Poets at the end of the 20th century. Pacheco was also essayist, novelist and a short story writer.  This recognized writer has won a lot of prizes such as “Premio Cervantes” in 2009 ( the most important award in Spanish literature) ,and “National Prize of literature” 2000.
This writer is beloved because of his simplicity and category work.
Also one Café Tacuba song (Colombian band) was influenced by Jose Emilio Pacheco’s novel “ Las batallas en el desierto”.

“ El Principio del placer “ is a diary written by a little 8 years old boy called Jorge, whose family is at a fairly high socioeconomic level. His dad is a military and his mom and 2 sisters are very conservative. They are living in the years after the second world war, when the new technological changes started out.
For the first time Jorge felt in love with his sisters friend Ana, who did not have a lot of money and she worked at a factory for a living. He wrote in his diary how pretty Ana was, and all the feelings he had for her . But there was a little problem; Ana was too poor to be dating to someone as Jorge. So he has to keep the love in secret, dating her in places where noone would see them. Only his driver. Duran, knows about this adventure, doing him favors so he could be with Ana without any interruptions, and his family wouldn’t realize. After a few months of secret love, something between them happens, and he realizes love doesn’t exist.

This great story gives the reader a nice entertainment moment of reading. Involving the reader in a young love story from one child who is discovering love for first time.
The authors language is easy to understand making it easy to read.
The writings structure makes the book not that boring, fluid and weary to read. That gives the reader the facility to read without stopping.
What makes the book more interesting is all the historical context the author uses. It draws a whole picture of the late 1950’s in Mexico on the reader.
The genre of the story, its not only romantic, it also is, a comedy and a suspense novel, so different type of people can read it without disliking it.
What makes the novel a comedy is how Ana writes, with a lot of misspellings and colloquial language. This way, the author gives the reader a bigger panorama of the story and more details about how the characters are.

The book only has one disadvantage; it is only 20 pages length. That gives the reader the necessity to read more about the young boys life.

Sunny day, one Youngman with the strength, faith and courage to train, two Wheels, and one mountain, was everything he needed to destroy his dreams in lees than one minute.

Videos, movies and magazines has given him the inspiration to ride the bicycle not only at the street or at the park, better yet, he decides to train “Down hill” and “freeride”, with only 15 years old.

He has acquired the abilities and technique only practicing by watching experts at youtube, no one else has taught him.
He used to say “My talented satisfies my poor experience”.

He started competing in downhill in the year 2008, in which he traveled around Mexico, trying to accumulate points in their first national championship in which he didn’t get any positions in the category of Elite Youth.
Later in the year 2009 Jose achieve the 1st place on the national Aguascalientes, Calvillo.

With plans to go up to the top category after his national podium year, Jose suffers a training accident in which he fell off a cliff of 5 feet tall impacting in the end of a river stone canal , causing a shift in the intervertebral disc located between the vertebrae L4 and L5 lumbar spine.

After 1 year and two months of continuous sessions of physical rehabilitation, he started riding the bike again against the doctors instructions. Inspired by the conviction to take up the time lost in the way to achieve his dream.

No more than half a year before relapsing into old injury causing another 4 months of rehabilitation and recovery without success. That caused a surgical intervention.

After this surgery, the doctors have recommended him to ever do the sport again, because in future years it could bring him health problems.

He says this is one of his worst moments, the bike was his life, he was depressed.

After a year José realizes that maybe this dream was just for a moment. that glory days are not forever.  So he is happy about everything he has achieve during this period.

Huicholes in the cultural Market (GDL)

The mysterious  and interesting Huicholes,  transmit the real ancestral Mexican culture, in the way how they dress , they physiologic  and the handmade products .This people are only in specific places in Guadalajara city.

And if you still don't know where to find them, just go to the cultural floor market at the citys centrum, where you will find this people and the products they sell.

some of you would like to talk with them, but it is not going to be easy. Huicholes are shy people, and   they prefer don't to have much eye contact .

even so I am sure people is going to be fascinated with the job of this Mexican artists.
this artisans transmit, different feelings and aspects as society personality, through the colours  in they products. I think about peace and life when I see the colours Huicholes use.

you may like how they dress, actualy  you would be able to do so, or just able to have a garment to wear in a sunny day .Huicholes make clothes with fancywork and the clothes are cheap.
The cultural market is a may place you have to visit, not only for the Huicholes....

....there are other type of people you may not see anywhere.
